Fannie Mae (Allen) Goosby was born in Madison, Georgia and attended preparatory school at Atlanta University. She was a singer, composer, and pianist.
In June 1923 she recorded three tracks with Okeh Records in Atlanta on Nassau Street. Only one of those recordings, “Grievous Blues,” was released. She re-recorded that song in New York in October 1923 along with five other tracks that were released.
She later moved to New York where she performed at the Yeah Man Club in Harlem.
